Well it’s been a long strange journey. Strange and stressful. But to make a long story short, I suffered two pretty catastrophic illnesses since 2010. The first one nearly cost me a leg. That’s when they said “no more sitting in a chair in front of the computer for hours or it will kill you.” When a doctor gets that blunt I suppose one should listen. So my hours of combing the web for Robert news and more hours of making fun things to share pretty much ended. As did my career as a freelance typesetter.
This year I landed in the hospital with congestive heart failure. But that is a natural progression of the thing with the legs. I hadn’t really expected it so soon, though.
I had kept thinking all along that I might get back to maintaining the original site but since I could no longer work, the hosting fees got a bit more than I could deal with. So I dropped that whole thing and put up this blog on a smaller hosting plan than I had for some other personal blogs.
There’s not much I can get into in half hour stints in the computer chair. But I’ll probably start posting some things here from time to time. A big thanks to all those people who’ve kept checking the site now and then. Even after all this time the stats were pretty good!
I’m happy to see that Robert’s people have finally embraced the internet and spruced up his site. Not to mention maintaining a Twitter and Tumbler presence as well. And don’t forget the YouTube and Sound Cloud accounts! Good on ’em!
So, that’s the story so far. If you’d like to get in contact with me use the Contact tab at the top of the page.
